The NOC authorizes NAC for aviation fuel supply

KATHMANDU, OCT 13 - The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has allowed to supply aviation fuel to the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC).The NOC deputy executive director Sushil Bhattarai informed that the meeting of NOC management committee held on Tuesday decided so.

The NOC had called for the global tender on Thursday for supplying the petroleum products from the international market after the Indian Oli Corporation halted supplying of fuel following the unofficial blockade of India in Nepal.

According to the NOC, 23 various firms and companies had responded to the call including Indian Oil Corporation. Whereas, the NOC has accepted the intend of NAC for supplying the aviation fuel.

The decision to let the company for supplying petrol and diesel is yet to finalize though the NOC allowed NAC for aviation fuel.

In the tender notice the NOC has mentioned that the supply can be done from any country using any route.
